O’Dell designed the Valley Children’s Hospital Park which includes over 94,500 square feet of outdoor recreation space. The park includes open play opportunities, space for large group events, field play, a patio, an amphitheater with a stage, and a walking path. The most special aspect of this park is the event space. On typical days, it will provide wonderful open play opportunities. On special days, it will be utilized to host large groups for seated dinners or large community events. In 2019, this space served as the location for the annual Harvest Ball, Valley Children’s Hospital’s mission is to provide high-quality, comprehensive healthcare services to children, regardless of their ability to pay, and to continuously improve the health and well-being of children. Events like the Harvest Ball go a long way in supporting the hospital’s mission. O’Dell is humbled to be able to support the fundraising efforts of the magnificent hospital in the design of this space.
