UC Merced Native Plant Trail

O’Dell Engineering, a Westwood company provided a comprehensive native trail design development report and a conceptual site plan of nature trails through approximately 12.8 acres of landscape area on the northeast side of the UC Merced campus. An arborist assessment and topographic survey was also performed to understand existing conditions and elements to guide the proposed design. The design development report included concept renderings of features and amenities, trail networks, trail pavements, landscape nodes, and site furnishings and signage. An in-depth review and design intent of native California plant communities was also provided, including suitable plant lists and schematic layout that intends to support a diverse range of animals, avian species, and insects.
