Our team provided civil engineering, land surveying, and landscape architecture to support the design of the River Islands Police Station. The newest Lathrop Police Station celebrated its grand opening in June of 2022. The station serves as the Lathrop Police Administration Headquarters. The 13,889 square foot building features a sleek contemporary design overlooking the San Joaquin River, a future community park, and the River islands community. In addition to serving as the administrative headquarters, the facility also houses police vehicles. Police officers use the facility to pick-up and drop-off cars at the beginning and end of their shifts, so there is now an increased active and visual presence of uniformed officers at the site and in the River Islands community on a daily basis. Site features were designed to draw attention to the structure, convey a sense of confidence in the police force, and to provide a welcoming, safe space for visitors.
