O’Dell Engineering, Westwood company partnered with Stanislaus County to create an energy consumption reduction plan that would provide recommendations on methods to conserve water, improve air and water quality, improve public and community health, and enhance and create community green areas in the Airport Neighborhood. The Master Plan identifies and prioritizes urban greening projects including landscaping, trails, community green space, and stormwater management for the south Modesto Airport neighborhood. Four major types of improvement projects were included: Green Space, Complete Streets, Non-Vehicular Connections, and Crime Prevention Through Landscape Techniques.
