“MoRo” Music Garden Project Featured in the Modesto Bee

By admin

The Modesto Bee recently featured an article on the “MoRo” Music Garden. As a part of our “25 Years, 25 Acts” program, O’Dell is currently donating design services for this project which includes a conceptual master plan and improvement plans for a music garden adjacent to the Foster Family Theater in the Gallo Center for the Arts. The open-air music garden will feature permanent metal instruments which can be enjoyed and played by the public, seatwalls and walkways adorned with musical notes and lyrics, and a trellis structure. Musical instruments will include cajon drums, a babel drum, emperor chimes, handpipes, and a tutti.

To celebrate our 25th anniversary this year, we decided to complete 25 acts of service for our communities. We could think of no better way to commemorate this special occasion than by bringing a little extra joy to the people and places where we live and the “MoRo” Music Garden will do just that! As a part of a bigger plan to renovate and reinvigorate Downtown Modesto, this new space intends to bring people together to interact and recreate in a positive way. The Modesto Rotary selected this project as its gift to the City to celebrate the chapter’s 100th anniversary next spring. The project is a collaboration between the Modesto Rotary, the Gallo Center, the Porges Family Foundation, and O’Dell Engineering.

O’Dell Engineering regularly provides landscape architecture, civil engineering, and land surveying services for community improvement projects in Northern California. We are proud to be involved in this important project and look forward to aiding in the revitalization of downtown Modesto!
