Silicon Valley BART Extension Phase 1 Project

By admin

O’Dell Engineering is pleased to have been selected to provide As-Built 3D Laser Scanning services for the Silicon Valley BART Extension (SVBX) Phase 1 Project. The construction of this vital extension of BART to the South Bay will bring access to a whole new region of VTA riders onto the extensive BART system which runs throughout the Bay Area. Led by Leo Castillo who will serve as Project Manager and Scott Roberts who will serve as Survey Manager, O’Dell Engineering’s survey technology team will oversee the 10-mile survey and 3D mobile scanning operation in partnership with TetraTech and Transcend Spatial.

Phase 1 of the project is almost complete. This phase extends BART from Fremont to Milpitas with the addition of three new stations. This long-awaited extension has been in the planning stage for 25 years. It will connect South Bay VTA Light Rail ridership with the rest of the Bay Area through BART’s East Bay lines.

O’Dell Engineering offers high-technology services alongside traditional surveying and engineering, resulting in additional value and cost savings for our clients. 3D & Reality Capture services offered include Building Information Modeling (BIM), High-Definition 3D Laser Scanning (HDS), GIS, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Mapping and Surveying.

O’Dell is proud to be involved in this important and innovative project!
