Hollister Park Facility Master Plan
O’Dell Engineering’s City of Hollister Park Facility Master Plan project was recently featured on BenitoLink. The article describes in detail the City of Hollister’s 2017 Park Facility Master Plan. The master plan seeks to celebrate and maintain the small “Hometown, California” environment of the City. O’Dell Engineering is providing services including research and documentation for the plan, community outreach, analysis of recreation programming, master plan preparation, capital improvement plan preparation, financial plan preparation, review of development standards, review of City standards and details, and attendance at meetings to successfully develop a Park Facility Master Plan with the City.
Development of the master plan is well underway. Five public meetings have been held, with the sixth and final meeting set to occur this Thursday, August 3rd, at 6:00PM at the Hollister Veteran’s Memorial Building. Chad Kennedy, Principal Landscape Architect, will lead the discussion with community members about their vision for the updated master plan. An interactive questionnaire will allow attendees to place their votes during the meeting via cell phone. For those interested in submitting ideas for the master plan that are unable to attend the meeting, an online survey is available in Spanish and English.
We look forward to completing a wonderful parks master plan that will leave the community of Hollister with a full inventory of existing City park property, as well as prioritized recommendations for the City to complete infrastructure and programmatic improvements to its existing parks and open space property.
