Modesto to Consider Changes to Plans for Wood Colony Annexation

On Tuesday, March 25th, 2014 the Modesto Bee Newspaper reported the Modesto City Council would consider changes to the City’s plans to annex Wood Colony. According to the article, the proposed change would include removing over 1,200 acres of agricultural land from the growth area while keeping over 1,100 acres designated for commercial development and business parks. The article also indicated Modesto Mayor Garrad Marsh noted the 1,100 acres designated for commercial development are not within the historic boundaries of Wood Colony.
