By admin

On Wednesday, March 19th, 2014 the Merced Sun-Star Newspaper reported that land developer Baxter Ranches has agreed to restore land along Fahrens Creek. According to the article the work will be performed as part of the Bellevue Ranch West Housing Development, which is located on both sides of Cardella Road between G Street and Highway 59. The article also stated the work on creek restoration will include a $100,000 aerial survey of the area along the creek. The agreement was prompted by concerns about grading and other site changes along the creek.  Changes which may have occurred before Baxter Ranches bought the property when another developer built flood control levees along the creek’s east bank.
